Subclient Properties (Content)

Use this tab to define the contents of a new subclient or to change the contents of an existing subclient. When you back up the subclient, database objects included in the subclient content are backed up.

Data

  • Backup Mode

    A choice of modes is provided to specify the manner in which backups for this subclient will be conducted.

    Selective

    Specifies the backup in parallel of a subset of database objects. The database tree displays the subsets (dbspaces) that are available in the database. Use the tree to add new or modify these subsets.

    Entire Instance

    Specifies the backup in parallel of all of the data for the subclient.

    Whole System

    Specifies the backup in serial mode of all of the data for the subclient. Only one stream is required; additional streams are ignored by the system.

    Full and Current Logical Logs

    Specifies the backup of both logical logs that are filled up and logical logs to which the system is still writing.

    Full Logical Logs Only

    Specifies the backup of only logical logs that are filled up.

  • Refresh

    Click to refresh the content of the database(s). Click also to refresh the ONCONFIG file and to retrieve the latest BAR_MAX_BACKUP parameter value included in this file whenever you change the value of this parameter therein; otherwise, the changed (i.e., updated) value will not be read and displayed by the system. BAR_MAX_BACKUP information is displayed in the Storage Device tab.

Backup Level for Incremental

Use this space to specify the backup level (1 or 2) for this subclient.

Back up Emergency Boot File (ixbar)

Specifies whether to back up the emergency boot file for this subclient.

Back up ONCONFIG File

Specifies whether to back up the ONCONFIG file for this subclient.
