Support for Cluster Configuration

You can configure and manage Windows and UNIX Cluster Group clients from the CommCell Console. For more information on Cluster Configuration, see Cluster Configuration - Overview.

Note

Commvault installations are not supported on Windows 2003 Server (and below) cluster environments.

The following table lists the supported cluster types for each component. In addition, the following components are also supported on clusters:

  • CommServe

  • MediaAgent

  • Metrics Reporting

  • Web Server

  • Workflow Engine

For UNIX operating systems, PowerHA for AIX (formerly HACMP), HP ServiceGuard, Linux, Sun Solaris and Veritas clusters are supported. In general, clusters are supported if the operating system supports clustering. This list does not include information on specific cluster versions or operating systems.
