System Requirements for the Dell EMC Storage Center (DSM) Storage Array

Before you configure the storage array, verify that your environment meets the system requirements.

Licenses

Install the following licenses.

Use the following version and firmware.

Use one of the following protocols.

Dell EMC Storage Center (DSM)	Fibre Channel iSCSI

Install the following software.

Array	Required software
Dell EMC Storage Center (DSM)	Dell EMC Storage Manager: Dell EMC Storage Manager client, Dell EMC Storage Manager data collector, and Dell EMC Storage Manager Server The computer where you install the Dell EMC Storage Manager and its components does not need to be a client computer in the Commvault software.

For snapshot backup operations from the Commvault software, open port 3033 between server computers, MediaAgents, and client computers.
