Protocols
- CIFS and NFS. Support for the CIFS protocol and the NFS protocol is for network share backups only.
Software
Install the following software.

For Hitachi NAS versions 13.2.x and later, use the built-in metro server.

For Hitachi NAS earlier than 13.2.x versions, install an external metro server version 4.0.
Ports
For snapshot operations, open port 8444 between the CommServe computer or MediaAgent and the server computer.
