Verify MediaAgent Status

  1. Verify the status of the MediaAgent.

    1. From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Storage Resources | MediaAgents.

    2. Right-click the appropriate MediaAgent, and then click Properties.

    3. Click the Control tab.

    4. The status of the MediaAgent must be displayed as Ready.

      If the MediaAgent is not Ready, verify that the services are running on the new MediaAgent.

      If necessary, from the CommCell Browser. right-click the MediaAgent, and then go to All Tasks > Check Readiness to identify the problem.

  2. Verify the status of the mount path.

    1. From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Storage Resources | MediaAgents | MediaAgent | <Disk Library>.

    2. Right-click the appropriate mount path, and then click Properties.

    3. Click the Sharing tab.

    4. If the mount path is accessible, Yes is displayed under the Accessible column, .

      If the mount path is not accessible, make sure that the mount path location is accessible from the new MediaAgent.

    5. Click OK.
