As a managed services provider (MSP) administrator, why do I need the Infrastructure Pool app?

As a managed services provider (MSP) administrator, if you do not want your tenants to provide infrastructure setting details, you can use the infrastructure pool app to map all the infrastructure details that are needed for the Exchange Mailbox client to the storage pool. This app is useful for the MSPs who provide mailbox backup services to their tenants in Office 365. After the infrastructure pool is added in the app, the tenant administrator can create the Exchange clients using only the Exchange Online application details and the server plan details. Do modifications to the Infrastructure Pool workflow affect Exchange Online clients that are already associated with a storage pool?

If you modify the workflow from the app, Exchange Online clients that are already associated with a storage pool are not affected. If you need to modify the workflow for Exchange Online clients that are already associated with a storage pool, you must make the modifications on the properties page for the Exchange Online client in the Command Center.

In modern authentication, since the service account is only used to collect the mailbox list, you can reduce the rights and the role of the service account to that of a regular mailbox with only the view-only permission.

Can all automatically created Exchange Online service account expired passwords be updated in Command Center ?

You can change the expired passwords of automatically created service accounts in the Microsoft Office 365 portal.
