Add the Access Node for Nutanix Files Exported to CIFS

Add the access nodes for Nutanix Files that are exported to CIFS.

Before You Begin

• You need the following information:

  • Host name

  • User name and password

  • OS type

• Ensure that your access node meets hardware specifications to back up the CIFS shares. For more information, see Hardware Specifications for Access Nodes.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Manage > Servers.

   The Servers page appears.

2. In the upper-right area of the page, click Add server.

   The Add server dialog box appears.

3. Click Select this method to install software packages on your computer.

4. Enter the necessary information.

5. From the Select packages list, select File System, and then click OK.

6. Click Install.
