You can back up an Azure Cosmos DB container group on demand.
Note
For Cosmos DB accounts that have multi-region (also called multi-master) writes enabled, only full backups are supported. If you select incremental as the backup type, the Commvault software converts the backup type to full.
Procedure

From the navigation pane, click Protect > Databases.

In the row for the instance that you want to back up, click the action button
, and then click Back up.The Backup dialog box appears.

Select the container group that you want to back up, and then click Select.
The Select backup level dialog box appears.

Under Backup level, select the type of backup that you want to perform, and then click OK.
The backup size shown in the job details is an estimate.
