Creating a Table Group for a Set of DynamoDB Tables

Create table groups for sets of tables that have similar backup requirements. Table groups that belong to the same database instance can have different backup schedules.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

    The Instances page appears.

  2. From the View list, select the DynamoDB database instance to create a table group for.

    The database instance page appears.

  3. On the right side of the page, click Create table group.

    The Create Table Group dialog box appears.

  4. In the Name box, type a name for the table group.

  5. From the Plan list, select a server plan.

  6. In the Number of data streams box, type of the number of streams to use for backups.

  7. To change the read capacity throughput, click Edit beside the Adjust Read Capacity box, and then type the number of units.

  8. Under Backup content, select the tables to include in the table group.

  9. Click Save.
