You can use the Commvault software to perform enterprise-grade backup and recovery of MySQL databases using MySQL Enterprise Backup 3.6 or more recent versions. The Commvault implementation of MySQL Enterprise Backup uses the SBT (System to Tape Backup) utility.
Using MySQL Enterprise Backup with SBT provides the following benefits:

Run backups with online MySQL servers, without interrupting MySQL transactions for faster backup and recovery.

Confirm backup integrity and quality by validating that internal pages are valid and that file checksums match.

MySQL data can be restored to a disk location.

From the Command Center, you can run enterprise-grade backup and recovery of MySQL databases on a UNIX client only.

You cannot run enterprise-grade backup and recovery of MySQL databases for containerized MySQL.
