Restoring a Database Group for Google Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL

You can browse and restore one or more databases.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

    The Instances page appears.

  2. Click the instance.

    The instance page appears.

  3. Under Backup sets, click a backup set.

    The backup set properties page appears.

  4. Under Database groups, for the database group that you want to back up, click the action button action_button, and then click Restore.

    The Backup content page appears.

  5. Select the databases that you want to restore, and then click Restore.

    The Restore options dialog box appears.

  6. Follow the steps for the type of restore operation you want to run:

    • To run an in-place restore operation, on the In place tab, click Submit.

      Note

      For an in-place restore operation, the destination client and the destination instance are the same as the source client and the source instance.

    • To run an out-of-place restore operation, complete the following steps:

      1. On the Out of place tab, select the destination client and the destination instance in a different region or a subnet group.

      2. Click Submit.
