Add a SAP HANA instance.
Before You Begin

Determine how to connect to the database. If you want to use the SAP HANA Secure User Store, create a key.
For information about the SAP Secure User Store, go to "hdbuserstore" in the SAP Help Portal website.

Obtain the following information about the SAP HANA system:

The admin user name
-
The SAP HANA instance SID
-
The SAP HANA user credentials
-
The directory that contains the SAP HANA hdbsql tools
To determine the location, log in to the SAP HANA server with the sid admin credentials and type the following on the command line:
which hdbsql

If the SAP HANA environment uses a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connection, obtain the name of the SSL provider and the SSL trust store file that stores the CA-signed certificates.

Procedure

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.
The database overview page appears.

From the Add instance list, select Database server.
The Instances page appears.

From the Configure Database Instance dialog box, select SAP HANA as database type.

Click NEXT.
The Add SAP HANA instance dialog box appears.

From the SAP HANA system name list, select an existing SAP HANA system name.

If you want to create a new SAP HANA system, move Create new SAP HANA system toggle to right.

In the SAP HANA system name box, enter the name of the SAP HANA system that you want to create.

In the SID box, type the SAP HANA instance SID.

From the Plan list, select the backup plan to use for the instance.

From the HANA hosts list, select the client that hosts the SAP HANA instance.

Choose how you want to connect to the SAP HANA database server:

User credentials: To connect to the database using the credentials, select this option, and then enter the user name and password.

HDB store key: To connect to the database using a hdbuserstore key, select this option, then in the Store key box, enter the hdbuserstore key.

In the Database user box, enter the name of the database user.

In the Password box, enter the password.

In the hdbsql location box, enter the directory that contains the HANA hdbsql tools.

In the OS user name box, type the admin user name.

To authenticate access to the HANA server that use an SSL connection, move the Enable SSL toggle key to the right, and then provide the following details:

In the SSL provider box, enter the service provider that is used for the SSL connection.
For example, enter commoncrpto.

In the SSL trust store box, enter the trust store name for the SSL connection.
For example, enter sapcli.pse.

Click ADD.
