Enabling Block-Level Backups for SQL Databases from the Command Center

You can configure a subclient to run block-level backups of the Microsoft SQL databases.

Note

After enabling block-level backup on a subclient, the Microsoft SQL Server agent automatically converts to the latest version of indexing.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

    The Overview page appears.

  2. On the Instances tab, click the SQL instance.

    The instance page appears.

  3. On the Subclients tab, click the subclient that you want to run block-level backups from.

  4. In the Settings section, move the Optimize for table level restore toggle key to the right.

Note

After enabling block-level backup on a subclient, the next backup operation is always converted to a full backup.
