Verify that your environment meets the system requirements for Informix.
Operating System
Important
-
Use the most recent version of the operating system that is listed. The Commvault software fully supports the most recent version of an operating system, until the vendor ends support. More recent versions of the Commvault software might not install on operating systems that are not supported by the vendor anymore. For information about the support lifecycle of an operating system, contact the vendor.
-
For CentOS 5.7 and more recent versions, use the most recent library versions because the library provided by Commvault might not be the most recent. Informix programs might require the most recent library versions. If you don't use the most recent version, the Informix instance configuration will fail with errors such as showing the server status as UNKNOWN. To use the most recent libraries, rename the libgcc_s.so.1 library that is in the software_installation_folder>/Base folder to a different name. Renaming that library allows Informix programs to load libraries that are available from the system.
-
Commvault supports both of the 64-bit PowerPC architectures: ppc64 (or "big endian") and ppc64le (or "little endian"). For SuSE Linux, the ppc64le PowerPC architecture is supported on SuSE Linux 12 SP1 Enterprise Server or more recent releases.
Informix 14.10 FC3 and More Recent Versions
Note
-
Table level restore operations for Informix 14.10 FC4 and FC5 are failing because of an IBM issue. Track PMR: TS004793953/TS004793953.
-
You can run table-level restore jobs for FC6 and the most recent versions.
