Install the Virtual Server Agent package provided by Commvault on the Proxmox node (host) that will act as an access node for VMs in your Proxmox VE environment.
Note
Windows access nodes are not supported.
Before You Begin
Verify that your environment meets the following requirements:

Proxmox VE version 8.2 or later.

Verify that at least 100 GB free disk space is available for installing the Virtual Server Agent.

A minimum of 4 GB RAM is required excluding the operating system and running applications.
Procedure

Download the Virtual Server Agent installer for Proxmox VE from Commvault Store.

Log in to the Proxmox VE as the root user.

Extract the downloaded Virtual Server Agent installer file.

Using the system console (for example, using KVM, not SSH), navigate to the installer directory.

Run the following command:
sudo ./cvpkgadd -
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
After the installation is complete, you can login to the Command Center and go to Manage > Servers to modify the access node configurations.
