Protected Virtual Instances in the License Summary Report

The Protected Virtual Instances view of the License Summary Report displays usage details for the Protected Virtual Instances license, including each backup job, the size of the backed-up data, and any jobs excluded from capacity because they are covered by the Protected Virtual Instances license.

Included Components

The Protected Virtual Instances license covers client computers and/or VMs that are configured with the Virtual Server Agent (VSA) for all supported hypervisor types and Kubernetes applications.

Where to Access the Report

To view this report, in the License Summary Report, click More Info, and then in the Other Licenses table under License, click Protected Virtual Instances.

Protected Virtual Instances

This table displays each backup job, the client where it ran, and the amount of data that was backed up.

Column

Description

Client ID

The ID that is assigned to the virtual instance.

Client

The virtual instance where the backup job ran.

Job ID

The ID for the backup job.

Size

The size of stateful Kubernetes applications.

If the Kubernetes application is stateless, the size appears as 0 because stateless applications do not have persistent volumes attached.

K8s

An indication of whether the Kubernetes application is Stateful or Stateless:

  • Stateful: K8s applications that have an associated persistent volume attached.

  • Stateless: K8s applications that do not have an associated persistent volume attached.

Company ID

The ID that is assigned to the organization.

Company

The organization that owns the virtual instance.

Plan

The plan that is associated with the virtual instance.

Usages excluded from capacity because of Protected Virtual Instances license

The Usages excluded from capacity because of Protected Virtual Instance license table displays the size of jobs that run for license types, other than the capacity license, on the host computers. If there are no other license types purchased, this table appears blank.

The amount of data that was backed up.
