Commvault provides robust protection for Amazon EC2 instances.
Backups create temporary AMIs and data-consistent EBS snapshots (optionally, application aware), and then write changed blocks to Commvault libraries. Backups create and then remove ephemeral access nodes that perform operations.
For snapshot-led protection and recovery, Commvault can replicate EBS snapshots cross-account and/or cross-region.
Recovery for EC2 includes agentless file/folder, full volume, and full instance restores. For direct restores to a host, you can install in-guest agents.
