FreeBSD Thread Libraries Errors

The manner in which FreeBSD thread libraries are renamed and re-linked along with the involved machine types can adversely affect Command Line operations, causing the following error message:

Fatal error 'Spinlock called when not threaded.' at line 87 in file /usr/src/lib/libpthread/thread/thr_spinlock.c (errno = 0)

Since some operations may require thread library support, be sure to implement the following action:

On the affected client, create the /etc/libmap.conf file.

Include the following lines in the file:

libc_r.so.5 libpthread.so.1
libc_r.so libpthread.so

Batch File does not run on Windows 2008/Vista

When running a batch file or executing qCommands from the command line in Windows 2008 or Windows Vista operating systems, use one of the following approaches:

Right click the batch file and select Run as administrator.
Open the command prompt as an administrator and execute the qCommand or script. Ensure the script has the local security setting "User Account Control: Admin Approval Mode for the Built-in Administrator account" enabled.

Error Code 908: Invalid XML Input

If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer to download the XML templates, invalid characters can get added to the XML. Download and install Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, get a new version of the template using either browser and retry the operation.
