Connecting to External Storage Devices

When connecting Commvault HyperScale X nodes to external storage, you may need one or mode identifiers from the nodes to properly configure the zone for your storage device.

Use following command, to view the iSCSI IQN for a HyperScale node:

# cat /etc/iscsi/initiatorname.iscsi

Use following command, to view the Fiber Channel WWN:

# more /sys/class/fc_host/host?/port_name

Note

if the command returns a File not found error, there are no fiber channel HBAs found by the operating system.
