Creating an Azure SQL Database Subclient

Create a subclient for the SQL database.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Browser, click Client Computers > client > SQL Server.

  2. Right-click the Azure SQL instance, point to New Subclient, and then click Database.

    The New SQL Subclient Properties dialog box appears.

  3. In the Subclient box, type a name for the subclient that you are creating.

  4. Click the Storage Device tab. On the Data Storage Policy tab, in the Storage Policy list, select a storage policy name.

  5. On the Content tab, click Configure.

    The Database Configuration dialog box appears.

  6. Click Discover.

  7. Add the database to the subclient that you are creating:

    1. In the Database Name column, select the database that you want to add.

    2. In the Subclient Name column, select the subclient to which you want to assign the selected database.

    3. Verify that you assigned at least one database to the subclient.

    Repeat these steps for all the databases that you want to add to the subclient.
