You can create a schedule policy for synthetic full backups with multiple streams.
Applies To: Configuring multiple streams for synthetic full backups is currently supported on File System and Virtual Server Agent with the latest version of indexing. For more information, see Indexing.
Procedure

From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Policies.

Right-click Schedule Policies and click New Schedule Policy.

In the New Schedule Policy dialog box, on the General tab, enter the following details:

In the Name box, type the Name.

From the Type list, select Data Protection.

From the Agent Type list select Files.

Click Add to add a schedule.

In the Backup Task Options dialog box, on the Schedule Pattern tab, enter details to create a schedule.

In the Backup Options window, under Select Backup Type, select Synthetic Full.

Optional: You can choose to run an incremental backup before or after the synthetic full to include or exclude any new or recently changed data in the synthetic full backup job. To do this, select Run Incremental Backup, and then select the Before Synthetic Full or After Synthetic Full option.

Click Advanced.

On the Data tab, select the Use Multiple Streams check box.

Select the number of streams. Do one of the following:

To specify the number of streams, select the Number of Streams option and enter the number.

To use the maximum number of streams, select the Allow Maximum option.

Click OK to close the Advanced Backup Options dialog box.

Click OK to create the schedule policy.
