Deprecated
Hybrid File Store server is deprecated.
For comprehensive information about deprecated products and features, see End-of-Life, Deprecated, and Extended Support - Obsolescence Policy.
Users do not need to perform any additional operations to protect the data that is stored on the Hybrid File Store share.
When users write data to the Hybrid File Store using NFS or SMB protocol, the Commvault software automatically sends the data to the Commvault Content Store. The data follows the retention rules that are defined for the subclient policy that is associated with the Hybrid File Store.
When users read data from the Hybrid File Store, the Commvault software automatically retrieves the data from the Commvault Content Store, and then presents it to users.
If a user needs access to data for a specific time, then the administrator creates a read-only point-in-time view of the specified Hybrid File Store that reflects the data before the specified time. Users can mount the point-in-time view, and then retrieve the data.
