Use this dialog box to view the properties of an existing Sybase server instance. Each instance references a Sybase server.
Client Name
Displays the name of the client computer or application server.
Billing Department
Displays the name of the billing department defined in the software.
iDataAgent
Displays the name of the DataAgent that is installed on the client computer.
Instance Name
Displays the name of the instance
Version
Displays the application version on which the DataAgent was installed or upgraded on the client computer.
Backup Server
Displays the list of the backup servers available to run jobs.
Sybase Home
Displays the path for the Sybase application software. Click Browse to change this path.
Sybase ASE
Displays the Sybase ASE (Adaptive Server Enterprise) server library which is usually located under the Sybase ASE server home directory. Use this space to change this variable.
Sybase OCS
Displays the Sybase OCS (Open Client Server) environment variable which is usually located under the Sybase ASE server home directory. Use this space to change this variable.
Configuration File
Displays the path of the configuration file for the instance. Click Browse to change this path.
Shared Memory Directory
Displays the path for the shared memory files which usually reside in the home directory. Click Browse to change this path.
Block Size
Specifies the number of bytes per I/O operation for a device. By default, the block size is set to 32768 (32KB). The block size must be at least one database page (2048 bytes for most systems) and must be an exact multiple of the database page size.
For example: if the server page size is 2048 bytes (2KB), then valid values can be 2048 (2KB), 4096 (4KB), 8192 (8KB), 16384 (16KB), 32768 (32KB).
Enable Auto Discovery
Select to let the system search the Sybase Server instance for databases that are not configured, and then add them to the system. This discovery process runs prior to a backup for the entire instance of the Sybase server.
