  • Used disk space

Specifies whether the disk space will be checked when a mailbox is examined. The mailbox will be skipped if used disk space is lower that the watermark. The disk drive(s) to be checked are the drive(s) where mailbox database are located.

    Note

We do not recommend using only the Used Disk Space watermark as the sole criteria for archiving, as this could result in data being archived unintentionally.

  • Archive f used disk space reaches n % of total volume

Use this space to specify the used disk space high watermark value. When the Used Disk Space checkbox is selected, the mailbox will be skipped if the used disk space is lower than the value specified here.

  • Mailbox Quotas

Specifies whether the mailbox high and low watermarks will be examined. If the mailbox used space is higher than the specified value, the mailbox will be scanned.

After the low watermark is met, the scan will be stopped for this mailbox. Mailbox watermarks are checked against the mailbox’s smallest quota among warning quota, stop sending quota, stop sending/receiving quota. If a mailbox’s quota is set to Use Default, the smallest quota of its database will be used. If there is no quota set at the database level, the mailbox will be considered as no quota set. It will be skipped unless the Mailbox Quotas option is unchecked.

  • Archive if size of mailbox size reaches n % of assigned quota

Use this space to specify the mailbox size high watermark value. When the Mailbox Quotas checkbox is selected, the mailbox will be scanned if the mailbox size is higher than the value specified here.

  • Stop Archive when mailbox reaches n % of assigned quota

Specifies that stubs will be pruned after the number of days entered. This value determines the minimum life of a stub.

  • Do not create stub

When this option is selected, the archived messages/items will be removed from the computer and a stub recovery is not possible. To recover archived messages/items that do not have stubs, perform a Browse and Recovery procedure from the CommCell Console.

  • Embed the recall link into body

Select this option to recall messages from any mobile device. When this option is enabled, a hyperlink is embedded into the message's body during the stubbing phase. When clicked, the message is automatically recalled into the user's Recovered Items folder irrespective of any other recall locations configured on the Exchange Server.

Use this space to enter the URL and host name of the server that will perform the recall. For example: https://exchangeservername

Attachment Filter

Specifies file extension(s) for attachments that you want included or excluded from archive operations regardless of the age/size message rules. Some points to keep in mind for filtering message attachments from archive operations. When attachment filters are not specified, the normal age/size rules are applied to attachments to determine whether they qualify for archiving. For example, if you want to archive attachments based on age and/or size instead of file type, then you would leave the filters blank.

  • Include Attachment Filter:

Displays file extensions for attachments that you want included in migration archiving operations for this subclient, regardless of the age or size rules.

When the Include Attachment Filter is used, it overrides the age/size rules for attachments of the specified type, and archives all attachment types in mailboxes that match the specified pattern regardless of age or size. This is useful for targeting items such as multimedia files to archive them as soon as they are found. For example, you could enter .mp3 as an Include Attachment Filter to archive all mp3 attachments.

  • Exclude Attachment Filter:

Displays file extensions for attachments that you want excluded from migration archiving operations for this subclient, regardless of the age or size rules.

When the Exclude Attachment Filter is used, it overrides the age/size rules for attachments of the specified type, and excludes from archiving all attachment types in mailboxes that match the specified pattern regardless of age or size. This is useful for preventing the archiving of certain file types (such as .exe, .vb, etc.) that you don't want archived.

  • Include

Click to move the selected Attachment Filters from the Exclude Attachment Filter pane to the Include Attachment Filter pane.

  • Exclude

Click to move the selected Attachment Filters from the Include Attachment Filter pane to the Exclude Attachment Filter pane.

  • Add

Click to include or exclude Attachment Filters from a list.

  • Remove

Click to remove selected Attachment Filters from either the Include Attachment Filter pane or the Exclude Attachment Filter pane.

Create a separate parent folder for each PST

Specifies that the PST stubs will be copied/moved into the destination folder maintaining the internal folder structure of the PST and will also be separated into unique folders for each PST imported. If not selected, PST stubs will be copied into the root level of the folder specified as the stub destination folder.
