Use this procedure to restore the InterSystems IRIS/Caché database server.
Before You Begin
- Shut down the InterSystems IRIS/Caché database.
Procedure

From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > vCenter Client > Virtual Server > VMware >backup_set.

Right-click the subclient, point to Browse and Restore.
The Browse and Restore Options dialog box is displayed.

On the Advanced Options tab, select the MediaAgent that was used when you created the storage policy, from the Use MediaAgent drop-down list.
This MediaAgent is the one you installed with the Virtual Server Agent.

Click View Content.

Expand the backup set and select the virtual machines that contain the InterSystems Caché database.
Its entire contents are displayed in the right pane.

Click Recover All Selected.

Clear the Restore in place check box.
Avoid in-place restores unless you intend to replace an existing virtual machine.

Click in the ESX Server column, select the destination ESX server and datastore, and then click OK on the selection dialog box.

Click in the Change VM display name to column and enter a new name for the virtual machine.

Click OK on the Restore Options dialog box.
What to Do Next
- Bring up the InterSystems IRIS/Caché database.
