Restoring an NFS Export of OCI File Storage

You can restore an NFS export to the original location on the same computer, to a new location on the same computer, or to a different client.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > NAS client > Linux File System > backup_set.

  2. Right-click the subclient, and then click Browse and Restore.

The Browse and Restore Options dialog box appears.

  3. Click View Content.

  4. Select the data that you want to restore, and click Recover All Selected.

The Restore Options dialog box appears.

  5. On the General tab, provide the destination information:

    1. From the Proxy Client list, select the destination Linux client from where you can access the NFS export.

    2. Select the restore location:

      1. To restore to the same location, select the Restore to Same Folder check box.

      2. To restore to a different location, clear the Restore to Same Folder check box, and then in the Specify Destination Path box, type the destination path.

You can either enter a mounted NFS export path, or an NFS export path that is currently not mounted, in the format file_server_name:/export_path.

        Note

If you are restoring to a Windows proxy client, you can enter a UNC path and provide the credentials for the target client using the Impersonate User option.

    3. Click OK.

  6. On the Job Initiation tab, select the option whether to run the restore or schedule it for later.

  7. Click OK.
