Daily backups of the Commvault control plane database, uploaded to Commvault Cloud, are essential for recovery to a cleanroom site.
To configure daily control plane backups, follow these steps:

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > System.

Click the Maintenance tile.

Click the DR backup (Daily) tile.

Click Edit.

Enable the Upload backup metadata to Commvault Cloud toggle key.

From the Select region list, select the region to upload the backup metadata to.
What happens if I change the region?
If a region is already selected and you change the region, the following occur:
- Existing backups remain in the current region and future backups are uploaded to the new region.
- The next backup is a full backup, even if it is scheduled as a differential backup.

Click Save.
