Fully Qualified Domain Name or Host name *

The hostname of the appliance must be fully resolvable and addressable by the CommServe server and client computers in the CommCell environment.

If you disable the option to automatically obtain the IPv4 address, you must provide the following information:

• Static IP address

• Subnet mask

DNS Server

By default this information is provided by the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). If this information is not provided by the DHCP, you must type this information.

If you disable the option to automatically obtain the DNS Server address, you must provide the following information:

• Preferred DNS server

• Alternate DNS server

(Optional) Domain Name

To add the appliance to an existing domain, specify the domain name.

Existing Domain Name:

User credentials required to add the appliance to an existing domain.

If the CommServe server is installed in the appliance, you can send alerts for events in the CommCell.

You can also configure the e-mail server after configuring the appliance.

License Requirements

The following licenses are required to setup the appliance:

• If you are setting up the appliance with a MediaAgent, you will require the necessary MediaAgent license.

• If you are upgrading the Windows Operating System from Windows 2016 to Windows 2019, you will require the necessary Windows license.
