IQN is the iSCSI Qualified Name used by the initiator to distinguish between devices. This is assigned automatically when a new VTL is created and uses the following format:

For a medium changer the IQN is displayed in the following format:
iqn.2006-06.com.commvault.vtl.<vtl name>.autoloader -
For a drive the IQN is displayed in the following format:
iqn.2006-06.com.commvault.vtl.<vtl name>.drive<drive number>
It is common to use the auto-generated IQN assigned, but can be changed if a different format is needed.
Procedure

From the navigation pane, click Virtual Libraries.
The Configured VTLs page appears.

In the row for the library that you want to change the IQN, click View.
The details for the virtual tape library is displayed.

Perform the action needed to change the IQN:
To change the IQN associated with a medium changer:

Click View in the iSCSI row.
The iSCSI Configuration page is displayed.

Add the new IQN in the IQN box.

Click Submit.
To change the IQN associated with a drive:

Under VDrive Information, click View in the iSCSI column.
The iSCSI Configuration page is displayed.

Add the new IQN in the IQN box.
