It is the location where the application binaries are stored. When instances are discovered, the binary directory path is automatically assigned to the instance. However, you can modify the binary path location for an instance any time.

From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Client Computers | <Client>| MySQL.

Right-click the <Instance>, and then click Properties.

In the dialog box that appears, enter a new pathname into the Binary Directory box.
For example: /usr/bin

Click OK.
