Commvault HyperScale

Commvault HyperScale offers several options to combine hardware with backup and recovery software to provide an integrated storage solution.

Review the hardware requirements and supported configurations for deploying a CommServe environment. It outlines supported vendors, certified models, and requirements for CPU, memory, storage, RAID controllers, and application storage.

When a CommServe is deployed on validated hardware, Commvault provides and supports the software image, including the operating system and Commvault software. However, hardware-related responsibilities such as initial storage configuration, troubleshooting, component replacement, firmware, and BIOS maintenance remain outside the scope of Commvault. Customers must ensure that their hardware support duration aligns with the Commvault software support period.

Due to the flexible nature of the CommServe design, it is not possible for Commvault to validate all possible hardware permutations. Only the components listed in this document have been tested and validated as part of Commvault’s certification process.

Use Case: Core backup and recovery
