Configuring the Commvault Software for the Purity ActiveCluster Feature

For you to use the Purity ActiveCluster configuration, on the Pure software, you need to create the link between the pods, on the Commvault software, you need to add the arrays in Array Management, and then make sure that the snapshot configuration property for tracking pods is set.

Procedure

1. On the Pure Storage FlashArray console, connect the local array and the target array.

   For instructions about how to connect the local and the target arrays for replication, go to the Pure1 Community website, and search for "ActiveCluster Replication Configuration".

2. On the Commvault software, do the following:

   1. Add the local storage array in Array Management.

   2. Add the remote storage array in Array Management.

   3. To turn pod tracking on, clear the Do not track Pod volume secondary snapshots snapshot configuration property.
