MySQL Instance Properties (General)

Use this dialog box to view the properties of an existing MySQL instance.

Client Name

Displays the name of the client computer on which this instance is found.

iDataAgent

Displays the name of the agent to which this instance belongs.

Instance Name

Displays the name of the instance

Version

Displays the application version on which the agent was installed or upgraded on the client computer.

Binary Directory

Displays the path of the binary directory for the instance. Click Browse to change this path.

Log Data Directory

Displays the path of the directory where the logs are stored for the instance. Click Browse to change this path.

Last Log Number

Displays the log number from which logs will be backed up during the next backup operation.

Config File

Displays the path of the configuration file for the instance. Click Browse to change this path.

Port/Socket File

Select the port (for Windows) or socket file (for UNIX) to open the communication between MySQL server and clients.

Enable Auto Discovery

Select to instruct the system to search the MySQL Server instance for not configured databases and to then add them to the system. This discovery process runs prior to a backup for the entire instance of the MySQL server.

Enable hot backup

Select this check box to enable XtraBackup or Enterprise backup on the MySQL instance.

XtraBackup

For UNIX clients, select this option to run MySQL backup operation using XtraBackup utility.

XtraBackup Bin Path

For UNIX clients, displays the path of the folder that contains the XtraBackup binaries. Click Browse to change this path.

Enterprise backup

For Linux clients, select this option to run enterprise-grade MySQL backup operations using SBT.

Enterprise backup bin path

For Linux clients, displays the path of the folder that contains the MySQL utility files required to enable enterprise backup. Click Browse to change this path.

No lock

Select this check box to lock the non-InnoDB tables while running MySQL enterprise backups using SBT.

Description

Use this field to enter a description about the entity. This description can include information about the entity's content, cautionary notes, etc.
