This section explains the different MySQL partial restore types.
Performing Partial Restore of MySQL Data to the Same Instance on the Source Client
To perform partial restore of MySQL data to the same instance on the source client, complete the following:

From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Client Computers | <Client> | MySQL.

Right-click the subclient on the source client, and then select Browse and Restore from the dropdown list.
The Browse and Restore dialog box appears.

On the Time Range tab, select either Latest Backup or Time Range, and then click View Content.

Select the database from the database list, and then click Recover All Selected.
The MySql Restore dialog box appears.

You can select one or multiple databases as per requirement.
-
If you select all the databases within the instance, refer to full MySQL instance restore.

On the General tab, from the Destination Server list, select the name of the instance where you want to restore.

Verify that the Destination Server State of the database is On-Line. If necessary, click Refresh to update the status.

Select the Data check box and the Log check box.
-
Select the Recover check box.
-
In the Staging Location box, enter the staging location where sufficient fee space is available to restore the database instance.
Note
To perform partial restore of MySQL instance, the free space at the staging location must be double the size of the MySQL instance.

If you do not want to recover, deselect the Recover check box and define the destination path in the Destination Folder box where the logs and data will be restored.
Note
The staging location and the destination folder must have equal free space.

Click OK.
Performing Partial Restore of MySQL Data to a Different Instance on the Source Client
To perform partial restore of MySQL data to the different instance on the source client, complete the following:

From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Client Computers | <Client> | MySQL.

Right-click the subclient on the source client, and then select Browse and Restore from the dropdown list.
The Browse and Restore dialog box appears.

On the Time Range tab, select either Latest Backup or Time Range, and then click View Content.

Select the database from the database list, and then click Recover All Selected.
