Compare Active Directory backup data

You can compare Active Directory backup data in the following ways:

• Compare the data in a backup to the live data in the Active Directory environment

• Compare the data in two different backups

To compare backup data, follow these steps:

1. Verify that the client server (domain controller) is online because the comparison job is cached on it.

2. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Active Directory.

3. On the Apps tab, click the AD server.

4. On the Comparisons tab, click Add Comparison.

5. Select the scope of comparison, and then click Next.

6. Enter a name for the comparison, and then click Next.

7. Select the type of comparison, specify the backup time and other settings, and then click Next.

8. If you're comparing selected objects, on the Content Selection page, click Add Content, and then select the content.

9. Review the summary of the comparison, and then click Submit.
