You can add a MongoDB Atlas instance to protect clusters of the Atlas Organization that is accessed using the same API key. For example, you can configure an API key to access clusters in the projects that are hosted in the same region.
In addition, you can create project groups under an instance to run backups at different schedules
To add an instance for MongoDB Atlas, follow these steps:

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

Click Add instance, and then select Cloud database service.

Select MongoDB Atlas and then click Next.

Select an existing backup plan, or click the add button to create a new backup plan.

Click Next.

Select an existing cloud account for the MongoDB Atlas instance or click the add button to create a new cloud account.
To create a new cloud account:

Next to the Cloud account list, click +.

Do the following:

Enter a name for the MongoDB Atlas cloud account.

From the Credential list, select an existing credential or click the add button to create new credential.

From the Access node list, select an existing access node to use for the cloud account or click the add button to create an access node.

Click Save.

Click Next.
The Backup content page appears and indicates that all the clusters in the MongoDB Atlas project will be backed up.

Click Next, and then complete the configuration wizard.
