For IntelliSnap backups from Commvault software, add the IBM XIV storage array and its configuration information to the CommServe database.
Start the Configuration Wizard

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Infrastructure.
The Infrastructure page appears.

Click Arrays.

On the Arrays page, click Add.
The General page of the Add Snap Array configuration wizard appears.

From the Snap vendor list, select IBM XIV.

In the Array name box, enter the first 7 digits of the System ID (S/N) serial number for the array.

In the Control host box, enter the IP address or the host name of the array.

In the Description box, enter the description for the array.

From the Saved credentials list, select the existing credentials or add new credentials you want to use.
Steps to add new credentials
To add credentials to the Credential Manager, click the plus button (+), and then specify the following in the Add Credential dialog box.

In the Credential name box, enter the name of the credential.

In the User account box, enter the name of the user account.

In the Password box, enter the password.

In the Description box, you can enter a description of the credentials.

Click Save.

Select or add the credentials of a user who has the following privileges:
-
Create snapshots and duplicates; map, unmap, revert, and delete snapshots

Create a host and assign initiators to a host

To use the saved credentials, move the Use saved credentials toggle key to the right, and then select credentials from the Saved credentials list.

To add new credentials, enter the credentials in User name and Password boxes.

Click Next.
The Array Access Nodes page of the configuration wizard appears.

Add an array access node if you want to use the secondary live snapshot for the backup copy operation or to add a MediaAgent to perform additional operations on the storage array.

From the Available MediaAgents list, select one or more access nodes and then click OK.
- To select all the available MediaAgents as access nodes, click Select All.

To disable pruning, move the Pruning toggle button of the respective access node to the left.

To rearrange the selected access nodes, drag them upwards or downwards as required.

Click Next.
The Snap Configurations page of the configuration wizard appears.

Configure Snapshot Configuration Properties according to your needs.

Click Submit.
