When adding or editing an Oracle directory domain controller, you must enter the following information:

NETBIOS name: The name of the domain controller that offers the Oracle directory service.

Domain name: The fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the server. If you use a port other than the default port 389 to connect to the server, then configure the domain name in the format of <FQDN>:<port>. For example, my.domain.example.com:456/ You can obtain the domain name information for a server in the Server column on the Directory Servers page in the Oracle Directory Manager tool.

Credential: Select a credential of a user with at least read permission for the domain.

To add a new credential, click +.

For example, you can create a credential for
cn=admin,cn=Administrators,cn=dscc
and set the Distinguished Name (DN) and password of the Directory Service Manager in the credential. -
You can find this information in the Directory Service Managers page in the Directory Service Control Center (DSCC). For example, the DN of an admin user is cn=admin,cn=Administrators,cn=dscc.
