You can enable IntelliSnap backups on the NFS subclient or the CIFS subclient for NetApp.
Note
For new NetApp clients and subclients, snapshots run independently of regular backups. For more information, see Snaps and Backups as Independent Copies of File System Data.
Procedure

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Files.
The Overview page appears.

Go to the Files tab, and then click the file server.
The file server page appears.

To enable IntelliSnap backups for a CIFS subclient, go to the Protocols tile, and then click CIFS.
The CIFS Overview page appears.
To enable IntelliSnap backups for an NFS subclient, go to the Protocols tile, and then click NFS.
The NFS Overview page appears.

On the Subclients tab, click a subclient.
The subclient Overview page appears.

Go to the Configuration tab.

On the Snapshot management tile, move the Enable snap backup toggle key to the right.
The Snapshot management dialog box appears.

From the Engines list, select NetApp, and then click Save.
