You can reduce the data aggregation wait time that Commvault can take to load the service CommCell's data in the Global Command Center by enabling the centralized database. Using the centralized database, you can enhance data aggregation experience by preloading data from service CommCells to the primary CommCell. After the initial load, it can synchronize data incrementally, even if the connection to the service CommCell is unavailable.
To enable centralized database on the primary CommCell, configure the bEnableGlobalMongoService and bUseGlobalMongoService additional settings.
The centralized database provides the following benefits:
-
Performance: Faster data streaming and synchronization for improved user interface responsiveness.
-
Scalability: Efficient management of large environments with reduced load on individual CommCells.
-
Resiliency: Continuous access to cached data, even if a service CommCell becomes unavailable.
