Enable the CommServe LiveSync feature to facilitate CommServe Recovery Using High Availability CommServe Host.
Before You Begin
-
Verify that the Index server is not configured on the Web Server, which is also the CommServe server.
-
Verify that the Download Center application is not used from the Web Server that is on the CommServe server.
-
Check if you already have a non-dedup storage added on a non-CS MediaAgent. If not, create a non-dedup storage on a non-CS MediaAgent.
-
If you wish not to use the default CommServeDR storagePolicy for CSLiveSync, create a plan with database full and transaction log backup RPO settings specified using the non-dedup storage created on a non-CS MediaAgent and select this plan while enabling CSLiveSync from the Command Center.
-
If you have passphrase files and CyberArk certificates available in the CommCell environment, back up them to a secured location.
Procedure
-
Open Command Center URL using the following format: http://webhost/commandcenter.
-
Enter your user name and password and click Login.
-
From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > System.
The System page appears.
-
Click the CommServe LiveSync tile.
The CommServe LiveSync page appears.
-
On the upper right corner click the Enable toggle key.
Note
A Commvault created default backup plan for CommServe LiveSync uses a non-deduplication storage and a worm copy. For CommServe LiveSync, backup plans with only non-deduplication storage are available for selection.
For more information, see the following:
-
To avoid accidental deletion of data, see Configuring WORM Storage Mode on Disk Libraries.
-
To remove a worm copy, see KB article 81103.
-
-
Click Yes in the Confirm Edit prompt.
What To Do Next
-
Verify the setup from the production CommServe host to ensure that the default components are installed and configured properly. For more information, see Verifying the Default Setup.
-
If you have backed up passphrase files and CyberArk certificates, once LiveSync is completed, copy the passphrase files and CyberArk certificates to the passive CommServe node under the same path.
