Information by Account Type

The following is the access information that you enter for different account types of disk or cloud storage.

Cloud Account

  • Cloud vendor type: Select the name of the cloud service provider.

  • Credential Vault: The credential vault used to create the credential entity.

  • Credential name: The name of the credential entity.

    Note

    The information needed for cloud account access varies based on the cloud service provider. For example, some cloud service providers provide an access key, and other cloud service providers provide a consumer secret.

  • Description: The description for the credentials.

Database Account

  • Database credential type: Select the database engine this account will authenticate.

    Note

    The information needed for database account access varies based on the database credential type.

  • Credential vault: The credential vault used to create the credential entity.

  • Credential name: The name of the credential entity.

    The name is used to identify the credential in the Credential Vault list.

  • Secret name of username: Select the secret from the vault that contains the database account username.

  • Secret name of password: Select the secret from the vault that contains the password for the above user.

  • Description: A description of the credential entity.

Linux Account

  • Credential vault: The credential vault used to create the credential entity.

  • Credential name: The name of the credential entity.

    The name is used to identify the credential in the Credential Vault list.

  • Secret name of user account: Select the secret from the vault that contains the Linux username.

  • Secret name of password/passphrase: Select the secret from the vault containing the password or passphrase for the above user.

  • Description: A description of the credential entity.

NDMP Account

  • Credential vault: The credential vault used to create the credential entity.

  • Credential name: The name of the credential entity.

    The name is used to identify the credential in the Credential Vault list.

  • Secret name of username: Select the secret from the vault that contains the NDMP account username.

  • Secret name of password: Select the secret from the vault containing the password for the above user.

  • Description: A description of the credential entity.

Storage Array Account

  • Credential name: The name of the credential entity.

    The name is used to identify the credential in the Credential Vault list.

  • Secret name of user account: Select the secret from the vault that holds the username to authenticate with the storage array.

  • Secret name of password: Select the secret from the vault that contains the password for the above user.

  • Description: A description of the credential entity.

Windows Account

  • Credential vault: The credential vault used to create the credential entity.

  • Credential name: The name of the credential entity.

    The name is used to identify the credential in the Credential Vault list.

  • Secret name of user account: Select the secret from the vault that contains the Windows username.

  • Secret name of password: Select the secret from the vault containing the Windows password for the above user.

  • Email: Enter email for credential manager.

  • Description: A description of the credential entity.
