Perform a Test Backup and Restore of the SAP HANA Instance

To verify that the SAP HANA instance is set up correctly, perform a test backup and restore.

Back Up the Instance

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The database Overview page appears.

2. Go to Instance tab.

3. In the row for the instance, click the action button , and then click Backup.

   The Backup dialog box appears.

4. Select a subclient to back up.

5. Click Select.

   The Backup options dialog box appears.

6. Click Submit.

Restore the Instance

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The database Overview page appears.

2. Go to Instance tab.

3. In the row for the instance, click the action button , and then click Restore.

   The Restore options dialog box appears.

4. Click Submit.
