Replication Using Amazon EBS Direct APIs

With Amazon Elastic Block Storage (EBS) direct APIs, you can write data to EBS snapshots directly, without the need to create and attach volumes to the access node. This direct write ability means that replication operations run faster full instance restores and attach volume restores across regions, availability zones (AZs), and accounts.

Note

Commvault supports the automatic injection of drivers on the source VMs. For more information, see VM Conversion Using EBS Direct APIs.
