You can restore the Atlassian Jira spaces to their current location (in place).
Caution
All space data in the destination location is overwritten by the restored data.
You can restore data at the site level, space level, or issue level. During restore, you can choose to restore either issues and site-level settings or metadata.
Review the following considerations for in-place restores:
-
If the space is present, then the metadata of the space is not modified.
-
If the space is not present, a new space is created with the same name, key, description, and visibility as the source space.
-
All existing space configurations such as workflows, custom fields, and permission schemes are replaced with the restored configurations.
-
Issue icons are not backed up. After restore, issue icons may differ from the source, but the issue data will remain intact.
-
Custom workflow schemes are restored successfully. However, if the active workflow scheme was edited, the restore updates the workflow scheme and saves it as a draft. You must manually publish the workflow scheme after restore.
-
If a customer flags an issue, the issue will be restored but will not be flagged during the restore.
-
Work items web-links are not currently supported.
-
If a sub-task alone is selected to restore, the sub-task cannot be restored. The immediate parent should also be selected to restore the sub-task.
-
Custom issue-hierarchy is not supported. If restore is performed for them, then it will be restored as user story and parent-child link for them is also not supported.
-
Cross project parent-child link cannot be restored.
-
Cross project issue links also cannot be restored.
