Introduction

S3 Vault, along with S3 endpoint and S3 keys provides an S3 compatible API interface for backup and recovery.

  • Integrate quickly with native backup tools that are capable of writing to S3 or S3 compatible storage, for modern databases such as CockroachDB, Oceanbase, and Snowflake.

  • In other cases, use custom scripts to back up applications directly to S3 Vault for rapid integration.

  • Business or application teams that use their own script or backup tool capable of writing to S3 or S3 compatible storage can seamlessly replace existing S3 buckets and endpoints, allowing them to continue using familiar tools and workflows with no learning curve.
