Subscription Usage for Kubernetes

You can view subscription usage for Kubernetes in the Kubernetes Usage Report. The report displays the peak front-end size for Kubernetes data protected. The front-end size is the source data capacity before compression and deduplication.

If Kubernetes data was protected for one or more days in the month, the data is counted as part of the peak front-end size for that month. The data is counted even if it is removed from a backup schedule or if backup data was deleted from the system. If the Kubernetes data is not backed up in the following months, it is not counted as part of Kubernetes subscription usage for those months.

For example, if K8APP01 and K8APP02 (each with 1 GB capacity) are protected on the first day of the month, and K8APP01 is removed from the system later that month, the peak front-end size protected in the month is 2 GB. If K8APP01 is not backed up in the following month and K8APP02 is backed up, the peak front-end size protected in the month is 1 GB.

Procedure

The subscription usage report provides a summary of service subscriptions and their usage. Use the report to view the names of all the Kubernetes data with front-end size protected until current day from the start of the month, and validate the subscription usage you are charged for.

  1. From the navigation pane, click Usage Summary.

The Usage Summary page appears, showing a summary of service subscriptions and their usage.

  2. Click Kubernetes.
