Update Releases contain all the hotfixes and enhancements for the platform release, while LTS Maintenance Releases include hotfixes for the Long-Term Support Release.
Example: Update Release
For example, in the following update release package file name, 11.42.10 represents Release 11.42 and Update Release 10.
- Commvault_Maintenance_11_42_10_winX64.exe
Note
Beginning June 15, 2024: The June releases will be designated as Long-Term Support Release (LTS) 11.nn, while the July releases will be designated as Innovation Release 11.nn. For example:

A new update release is available every month.
Downloading and Installing Update Releases
You must download the update release package on the CommServe computer and then use the Command Center to install the hotfixes on all the clients.

Note
There are intermediate update release versions that may contain updates for specific use cases. These versions are not released on Commvault Store. You must download these versions only when advised by Customer Support.
