Use the Custom Configuration to Add Azure Apps

If you do not want to use the Commvault-hosted multi-tenant applications configured through express configuration (recommended), you can use the custom configuration option.

With custom configuration, you register and manage your own Azure app for Power BI. You can use a configuration helper tool to automate this process, or manually register the app in the Azure portal.

Configure Azure Apps for Power BI Using Custom Configuration

  1. Go to the Service Catalog.

  2. On the Power Platform tile, click Configure.

  3. If this is your first time configuring Power BI:

    1. Click Start Trial.

    2. Wait while Commvault activates the subscription and creates backup plans.

    3. When the process is complete, click Close.

If you have already configured Power BI, continue to the configuration page.

  4. Click Continue.

  5. On the Region tab, select a storage region from the Storage region list, and then click Next.
