Applies to only managed cloud deployments
The express configuration uses Commvault Cloud hosted multi-tenant apps. These apps use Federated Identity Credentials (FIC) based authentication mechanism which do not need app secrets or certificates.
These multi-tenant apps provide a better security posture and is the recommended authentication method from Microsoft.
Create the OneDrive for Business App

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Service catalog.

On the Microsoft 365 tile, click Configure, and then select OneDrive.

Start the O365 trial or continue to the configuration tool:

If you have never configured an Microsoft 365 app before, the Office 365 configuration tool appears.

Click Start Trial.
The Configure Office 365 message box appears. You must wait while the Commvault Cloud software activates the Commvault Cloud subscription, creates Office 365 plans, and creates a backup plan for Microsoft 365 backups.

When this process is complete, click Close.

If you have configured an Microsoft 365 app before, the Office 365 Trial message appears.

Click Continue.
The Create OneDrive for Business App tool appears.

On the Region tab, from the Storage region list, select a region, and then click Next.
The Application tab appears.

In the Name box, enter a name for the app.

In the Cloud region list, specify where OneDrive for Business is hosted:

If OneDrive for Business is not hosted in a national cloud, select Default (Global Service).

If OneDrive for Business is hosted in a national cloud, select the region.
Note
You cannot select China as the region.

Select Express configuration (Recommended).

Click Sign in with Microsoft.
A Microsoft window displays all the permissions that are required to access the Azure app.
If the browser pop-up blocker blocks the Microsoft window, allow access to the Microsoft window.

At the bottom of the Microsoft window, click Accept.
The Summary tab appears.

Click Create.
